This morning I received a request by a candidate who wanted to pursue a career in aviation working as a ground staff member. For Airport Ground Crew you will need 
- South African identity document
- Matric / grade 12 certificate
- Diploma in travel and tourism (preferable)
- No criminal record*
- Clear credit record
- Computer literacy essential
- 1 year customer care experience
- Good customer care and communication skills
- English plus one additional language
- Drivers licence
- Well groomed
- Willing to work shifts
- CV with the following
- Brief employment history
- Brief additional qualifications
- Direct telephone contact details
- Certified copy of matric / grade 12 certificate
- Certified copy of identity document

Pleasure Wes! It’s freaky how we’re all connected in so many ways that we have no inkling about until they actually happen.
At one stage we had a ton of people contacting us about jobs in the airline industry, some even posting CVs to us; so I said enough is enough, let’s publish all the information we have about this stuff, and then just refer people to it. It’s saved us a lot of time, and it’s also fortunate to help others 🙂
Every now and then, when a new airline pops around, we update it, but not much work after the heavy lifting of writing the first version.
